DSI Global: Mobile-First Digital Supply Chain Software Solutions

Pieter Vandevelde , VP APAC, dsi globalPieter Vandevelde , VP APAC
With technology revolutionising almost all the business functions from marketing to customer relationship management, businesses are taking the path of digitisation. However, one function that still remains manual to a large extent is supply chain management. Beyond large high-tech ventures and technology start-ups, many businesses have simply been overlooking these functions in terms automation and digitisation, which remains a major setback. As per a 2016 study conducted by Boston Consulting Group, leaders in digital supply chain management have up to 110 percent higher operating margins and up to 64 percent fewer cash conversion days. Digital supply chain management is more connected, intelligent, scalable and rapidly deployed than traditional methods. And that’s what motivates DSI to provide mobile-first digital supply chain software solutions.

DSI enables companies to digitise their end-to-end supply chain. For more than 30 years, DSI has developed a global presence, expanding its portfolio of digital supply chain solutions under visionary leadership. DSI’s Digital Supply Chain Platform offers a wide range of solutions built on its drag and drop, form-based rapid application development tool and ready-made templates, accessible via the cloud. “From an operational viewpoint, the essence of the business case in using DSI’s solutions lies in achieving traceability, accuracy, real-time visibility and agile responsiveness in the supply chain,” says Pieter Vandevelde, VP APAC.

DSI helps businesses digitise different points in their supply chains through its mobile-first platform, which can be integrated with companies’ systems of record.
It provides a suite of integrated solutions for customers running systems of record including Microsoft Dynamics AX, IFS, Oracle, Netsuite and SAP.

Whether a company uses one or more of the above ERPs, DSI’s Cloud Inventory provides a single point from which to executve inventory processes and streamline inventory operations. This comes as an apt solution for a common challenge that CIOs and COOs have to face: full ‘mobile digitisation’. It brings productivity, performance, integration, agility, and speed to market that present day CIOs and COOs want.

With its Digital Supply Chain Platform, DSI has successfully reached out to numerous global leaders including one of the largest breweries in the world, which has rolled out the DSI platform across nine Asian countries. DSI is also being used by a global wine company with operations in the ANZ region, enabling it to inspect vineyards for the quality of grapes and foliage. Additionally, the company has been providing world-class data collection, IoT and M2M, print and hardware solutions to its clients based across global regions including APAC.

Moving forward, DSI envisions accelerating its hiring drive in the APAC region as it seeks to capitalise on strong growth around the world. The company plans to open a new office in Hong Kong in addition to its existing offices in Melbourne, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. “We have a big push to focus on working with partners, both resellers and solution delivery partners that can represent us, sell and implement a solution. Channel is a big part in our growth plans,” adds Pieter Vandevelde, VP APAC.
