    CyberLogitec: For Efficient Logistics Operations

,Jang-Rim Choi, CEO, cyberlogitecJang-Rim Choi, CEO
Logistics organizations have been experiencing steep growth over the last few years, both concerning revenues and employment generation. Relentless demand from e-commerce firms who themselves are witnessing a significant growth in their businesses has further accelerated this trend. Given the challenges, Logistics organizations must turn to latest technologies to fulfill the growing demands. Jang- Rim Choi, CEO of CyberLogitec, explains, “Competitiveness of logistics companies today lies in improving the efficiency of their resources, acquiring and deploying logistics solutions that understand and analyze business processes, and adapting to internalize these factors.” Owing to this, a Seoul, Korea, based company, CyberLogitec from past 17 years, helps Logistics organizations to remain competitive by improving their resource utilization. The company offers OPUS Logistics—a highly flexible system—that amalgamates freight forwarding, warehousing, and SmartLink (EDI) solutions to bring efficiency and accountability in the process.

A single platform solution designed to cover end-to-end operations, OPUS Logistics delivers marked improvements in supply chain efficiency. By integrating complicated business processes between customer and partners, OPUS Logistics streamlines communication, enhances efficiency, provides visibility, and creates profitability in business operations. “Such seamless services within the value chain will be your competitive edge in the industry,” states Choi.

The freight forwarding is an integrated solution, which helps freight forwarders coordinate among various aspects of their business operations. OPUS Logistics’s forwarding solution relays cargo data and buyer-supplier information to customers—an automated process that minimizes delays and potential errors in daily operations.

OPUS Logistics can take care of all shipping documentations, take off the human errors, and significantly optimize processes

Global forwarding operations are managed under a single umbrella, wherein partners are tightly integrated into a single platform. The solution is designed to provide electronic manifesting between global offices, and fill in shipment forms with a single input. Data entry from destination, vessel and flight documents, customs, invoicing and costing requirements are managed in a single format, minimizing the time required and making the process much simpler and transparent.

This transforms the complex process in one neat multilayered shipment form. In addition, multi-language support, multi-currency accounting, and invoicing function allows OPUS Logistics to efficiently manage freight forwarding services. Choi expounds, “Enter data just once and OPUS Logistics can take care of all shipping documentations, take off the human errors, and significantly optimize processes.”

OPUS Logistics integrates Comprehensive Warehouse Management system, and when deployed into customer’s existing operations, the system drastically reduces the data entry volume. It streamlines the workflow by connecting warehouse operations with partners, providers, and global supply chain. It not only offers inventory control for effective 3PL, 4PL to distribution logistics, but also provides clear visibility, maximizes data accuracy, and reduces operational cost.

SmartLink, an e-Service platform, can be either used independently or with OPUS Logistics. It is presently used by more than 300 logistics companies worldwide. With a comprehensive EDI platform, SmartLink offers logistics visibility and connects forwarders with multiple industry organizations including customs, port authorities, terminals, and shipping liners. It transmits e-Manifest to 25 major customs or S/I, BKG, VGM to 30 major shipping liners and significantly reduces document-handling lead-time. Using this customer can gain live insights about schedule and container tracking that helps them to have better visibility of the cargo’s location. The company is indeed certified to ISO 9001:2008, CMMI Level3, ISO20000-1, and ISO27001. Going forward, CyberLogitec plans to embrace evolving trends in technology and continue to develop products and solutions that alleviate much of the bottlenecks faced by the Logistics industry.
